There are two types of veterinarian's. A surgeon, and a veterinarian like the one you take your dog to, to get his/her shots, which I will call vet for short haha. OK a vet is like your doctor that you go to for check ups, but for animals. They are experienced with animals. They just do check ups and prescribe medicine for worms and such for your dog. A veterinary surgeon makes a lot of money. They work at a hospital. An animal hospital. Vets work at doctors offices. For animals. A veterinary surgeon has to go to collage for 8 years. They make very good money and live well. They perform surgery's on the animals. They just do the more difficult and serious things that the vets cant do. Vets make about 2,000$ less than veterinary surgeons do. Veterinary surgeons make anywhere from 100,000 to 150,000$ a year. That's REALLY good. Vets make 80,000 to 95,000$ a year. I'm training to be a veterinary surgeon, I just love working with animals and helping them. I would do it for free if I could. But I have bills. Haha. Hope this helps. :)

How much money do a vetinerian make?

Depends what kind of vetenerian experience your talking about. Like a vetinary *surgeon* makes anywhere from 80,000 to 100,000$ a year. That's way more than minimum wage. That could buy you a big 2 story house and nice cars. That's good pay, and I'm talking about like the surgery you see on tv on animal planet in the animal hospitals. Now just a vetenerian. Like where you take your pets to go get shots and such, they make around 80,000 to 90,000$ a year. Just a little less than vetinary surgeons. I hope this helped you. See, I'm on my way to a career as an animal surgeon. Which takes 8 years of collage. I love animals. I would do it for free if I didnt have bills. Haha. Well hope this helped. :)

When you are making incisions what do you have to be careful not to cut?

Windpipe, arteries, large veins, reproductive organs/tubes, internal organs, areas that are especially sensitive, areas that tend to get dirty or are almost impossible to keep clean. Avoid important nerves, spinal column, glands, tendons, cartilidge at joints. Avoid areas near eyes, mouth, anus, nose generally. Depending on why the incision is being done of course! I assume you are talking about vetenerian health and not cutting up for meat. If you are cutting for meat, you would be more concerned with removing blood, and keeping the urinary and digestive system intact and seperate.

Why do hamsters fight?

Sometimes hamsters fight because they DO NOT like company. Only when they are sleeping because it is cuddly. If they are fighting and get injurys or run in circles like a dog catches it`s tail call a vetenerian FAST! Make sure that you can get 2 cages. Check to see if they are hungry, stressed, or aggervated. If so then get 2 bowls , filled up so they dont have to dig in it. Then give it some fresh water and check if they have injuries or go on Google and they will tell you why they are acting different. Then you could go on Roborovskihamsters.com because they know everything you need and even cool pictures and maybe videos. It is a safe website for your family and it tells you how to make home-made toys. Hope I helped :)

Do you have to go to college to be a vetenerian?

Yes - you will need to complete at least 7 years of college. It takes at least three years to complete the pre-requisite classes in undergraduate college (any four-year college will work) then another four years to complete vet school.

Is tramadol hydrochloride the same for animals?

Only under Strict Veterinary SupervisionOur users share their opinions:Never give your animals any prescription medications or otherwise without qualified professional supervision.I would advise caution when giving a dog Tramadol for the first time. My 13-year-old greyhound developed ventricular arrrhythmia (140/min with occasional sinus rhythm), which lasted nearly 24 hours after administration. It was as if the dog, which became disorientated, had been on a very bad "trip." As far as I can discover the literature does not describe this in dogs, but it does mention tachycardia as a potential side-effect of Tramadol in humans. Therefore, administer the drug only under strict veterinary supervision.
