The vicuna is very similar to an alpaca or llama and is found in Northern Chile, there are two subspecies (V. v. mensalis and V.v. vicugna), both are considered to be at low risk of endangerment, they are light brown in colour, with white patches on their bellies and the backs of their legs, they have long, slender legs and necks and are very skiddish, they can run up to 30mph and live around 4,500ft
