A weak force is one of the fundamental forces of nature. Weak forces are responsible for radioactivity in certain items, which can cause cancer if not protected. It is also a force that is significant when atoms break apart.

Weak force and strong force are two of the four fundamental forces in physics. The others are gravity and electromagnetism. Strong force binds atoms, quarks, particles etc. together. For example, the hydrogen atom composes of electrons, protons and neutrons. Without Strong force, they would just be energy and will not connect. Weak force is the decaying or splitting of atoms. For example, during time, Uranium becomes lead because of the weak force.

If the four fundamental forces are connected in a theory. This theory is called the Theory of Everything (TOE). Today, we only connected Electromagnetism, strong and weak forces. We have not connected gravity to the equation yet.

The particles that carry the weak force are the W and Z bosons. The Gluons are the strong force's particles.
