Web Storefront is a the online website where, your customer would visit and buy your products. It offers product listing, shopping cart and payment processing functionality. Ths storefront is usually connected with the backend through which handles the admin can manage the the entire web storefront. Hundreds of thousands of solo storefronts can be found on the internet, each with its own internet address (URL), at which orders can be placed. Called electronic storefronts, they may be an extension of physical stores such as Home Depot, the Sharper Image, Rayashop.com. Or they may be new businesses started by entrepreneurs who saw a niche on the web, such as CDnow.com, restaurant.com and alloy.com. Besides being used by retailers (e.g., Officedepot.com ), storefronts also are used by manufacturer (e.g., Dell.com ). Retailers' and manufacturers' storefronts may sell to individuals ( B2C) and/or to organizations (B2B). There are two types of storefronts, general and specialized. The specialized store sells one or few products (e.g., chocolates, flowers or dog toys ). The general storefronts sell many products (e.g., Amazon.com).
