Dark colored horse with white main and tail doesn't exist outside Cartoons? I have a miniature stud where I work that proves that idea wrong. Raja is a dark liver brown in body and has a bright white mane and tail. We call his color "steel and chrome" and from what I've learned, it's very rare. That's why I'm praying that the mare we breed him to drops her foal very soon. Praying the baby is female and looks JUST like her father because we have too many studs and I need to sell Raja.

∙ 11y agoThis could depend on certain factors, but most likely it is a grey horse that still has a darker mane and tail. The skin of a grey horse will be grey underneath the hair if you look.
