Its a Chrome Piece
Wratchet is a term that can be used in many ways for it is mainly used to say that something is old or "white/redneck" or it could mean that its ugly
If its the nut that's giving trouble, a cetiline torch, heating it red, and jumpin' the mother out of the Heafty wratchet with a pipe on the of the wratchet for torke. If the nut is off and the roter is stuck, get a 10 pound mall and wack it a few times to get the rust off. Don't dent the heck out of it, just wack it. It should come off.
Itd in the top middle towards the back in that whole system of pulleys its the one that take a 5/8 wratchet
I just put a new engine in my 91 Toyota and decided to paint everything being it was all apart. If you have acces to a compressor and inpact tools that will be all you need, but if you don't the only other way that I know of is to use a old fan belt, put it on the pully and make a tight loop, clamp the loop with a pair of vice grips to keep it tight. Put your wratchet on and hit the wratchet sharply with a hammer. I hope this helps you. I just put a new engine in my 91 Toyota and decided to paint everything being it was all apart. Im not sure if it is safe or if it will work but i have been told that using a 22mm socket/ wratchet and a long metal bar sould do the trick.... however you need to use the metal bar to slip over the wratchet handle and the other end on the ground to the left of the car/ pulley.... then turn your engine BUT dont let it start. I HAVE NOT TRIED THIS BUT HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THIS IS THE ONLY WAY WITHOUT HAVING THE RIGHT TOOLS. TRY IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Changing the spark plugs in a Mercedes w208 320 1999 only requires two tools to be used. The first tool is a 3/8 wratchet that has a short extension and the second tool part is a universal socket. Attach the universal socket to the spark plug socket and use the wratchet to loosen each spark plug. Use the same tools to tighten the new spark plugs into place.
I usually use my impact wrench but if you don't have one you could put a socket and wratchet on it. Then tap it with a hammer to get it started maybe.
attach a 1/2 wratchet to the tentionerb pully and press downward. Once you do this the belt will lossen. Draw a quick scetch on how the belt is currently on there so you will know how to place the new belt on it.
you dont have to remove the grill to remove the headlights. there is a 5mm bolt that goes down into the headlight. so get a wratchet and losen those until they pull striaght up and remove the headlight.
3/8" wratchet and sockets, primarily. Misc. pliers and screwdrivers to remove some of the junk that is in the way. I use a 3/8" air wrench to make my life easier. Bandaids.
Just below the power steering unit is the tensioner. It has a square hole for a 3/8th wrachet. Insert the wratchet in the square hole and pull left. Have someone remove the old belt and replace with the new one. Takes 5 minutes at most.
It's on the right front (looking from the rear) of the fuel tank, up in a recess. You'll need a 10mm and a 5mm socket, wratchet and short extension, preferably in 1/4" size. You may need a 6mm in a combination wrench, also, to hold the nut on the band.
