How would you compare the OJ Simpson to the Rodney King case?

Both of these cases were about accountablity. King's abusers and Simpson himself. In retrospect, justice was denied in both cases.

Is Dr Michael Swango eligible for parole?

No, he should not be eligible for parole. From what I know of him, he is antisocial with no ability to feel remorse. He, no doubt, would continue to do what he had the urge to do whenever he wanted to do it. I work in the health care field and know for a fact that the physicians have no accountablity to anyone. I do not mean to say that most physicians need that monitoring, but some of them do. I also know for a fact that physicians do not "tell" on each other and that when anyone else does, who is not a physician, it is discounted. We need more accountablity in the medical field and until we have it we don't need Michael Swango out there anywhere near people. Tina Leach RN

Accountability and corporate social responsibility are the key concepts in corporate governance discuss?

I did a course on this a while ago, and am too lazy to get my notes, however I'll give some tips on this from what I recall. Accountablity is a key concept. Accountability of the board, and accountability of the company to key stakeholders. Key stakeholders range from shareholders and employees, to third parties. Social responsibilty (a third party) is something the board might consider necessary in terms of strategy.

Is atonement necessary for a sin of ignorance?

It is dificult for any person of sound mind to sin in ignorance. We are all given a sense of what is right and what is wrong at birth. The accountablity of one answering for their sins does not come into force until the age of eight. (The Lord has set this to be that age of accountabilty). If one is taught from a very early age to do something which is sinfull but has been taught that it is the right thing to do, then the Atonement will apply to that person. To sin is an act that is regarded by theologians as a transgression of God's will. There are few people who sin in which the atonement will not apply to after true repentance. Except the unpardonable sin of murder and the denial of the Holy Ghost when one has once received it.

What problems can cyberbullying cause?

People that are easily targeted by bullies can't seem to ignore the insults even though they come from a source that offers no accountablity and often comes from total strangers. I was amazed when I first started answering questions on this site how many people gave very hurtful and insulting answers to people they didn't even know. In short I guess people that don't have much confidence in themselves tend to believe all that trash that other folks throw at them. It's sad too because most of the people being bullied will figure out eventually how to overcome it and become successful citizens later on.

What is HIPPA?

Health Insurance Portability and Accountablity Act Legislation providing that, to the extent that all deductible medical care expenses exceed 7.5% of the taxpayer's adjusted gross income (AGI), expenses not reimbursed under qualified long-term care coverages are subject to tax deductibility according to the medical expense deduction rule under the Internal Revenue Service Code, Section 770(b). Also regarded as deductible medical expenses up to a specified maximum according to the individual's age are premiums paid for qualified Long-Term Care (LTC) insurance policies. The specified maximum increases according to the age of the insured, ranging from $200 for insureds age 40 or younger to $2500 for those insureds older than age 70. In addition, benefits received from LTC policies are not included in one's taxable income subject to given restrictions. An insurer offering individual health insurance in an individual state cannot deny coverage to an individual leaving group coverage. Under this act there is guaranteed acceptance and a maternity preexisting condition prohibition. In order for the LTC contract to be qualified under the IRS code, the contract must be an insurance policy that restricts its coverage to only qualified long-term care services; the policy must be a Guaranteed Renewable Contract; and the policy must not have a Cash Value.
