Well, there are actually NUMEROUS gun control laws in the US- at Federal, State, and local level. The number is in the THOUSANDS of laws. The first 10 amendments to the US Constitution, known as the Bill of Rights, does NOT give those rights to people- it states that people HAVE those rights, and that the government cannot take those rights away. When people have the right to bear arms, they also have the included implied right to USE arms for defense of themselves from lawless people. There is also statistical information that shows that crime is decreased in areas where people have the ability to defend themselves.
