What will you do when a client has diarrhoea during exercise program?
If a client had diarrhea during an exercise program, have them go to the bathroom immediately to limit any mess or embarrassment. Diarrhea could be a result of something they ate, or an illness. The client may want to go home and reschedule the exercise session for another time depending on how they feel.
Asked in Exercise, Nursing, The Difference Between
Can you explain the difference between passive and active exercise and what is the role of the nurse in this?
Active exercise is an exercise in which the client exerts force to complete an action, e.g. standing up from bed. the nurse is typically a supervisor and provides little to no assistance to the patient unless a problem arises, i.e. fall. Passive exercise is an exercise in which the nurse exerts force on the patient to complete an action, e.g. assisted range of motion (ROM) exercises. the nurse is physically moving a client's body to prevent thrombosis, atrophy, etc. this is typical in -paresis or -plegia clients.

What is a the client-centered therapy?
Most therapies are client centered because treating or helping the client is the main focus. I'm a music therapy major and I know that there are 3 main factors: the client, the music, and the therapist... but the client is the most important because it is based around them and they are the most important part.
