I have a 1883 $10.00 Gold Liberty Eagle. How much is it worth?
Liberty nickels were made from 1883 to 1912. Your coin is a common Jefferson nickel and is only worth face value.
1883-S Liberty $20 Gold Coin MS62
A genuine 1883 U.S. trade dollar is worth no less than $700 and quite possibly over $1,000 depending on condition. Note: An actual trade dollar has the Seated Liberty design on the obverse (heads) side and says "120 grains 900 fine" and "trade dollar" on the reverse (tails) side. If one side is only a woman's face, and the other side has an eagle and says "one dollar," then it's an 1883 Morgan dollar, worth about $25.
Sorry no Liberty Head nickels in 1812. The first US nickel was struck in 1866 and the first Liberty Head was in 1883, so look at the coin again and post new question.

I have found a U S $5 gold coin with a liberty head in one side and an eagle on the other side minted in 1883. Under the eagle there is NOT an "s" as I have seen in another coin exactly alike. I want to know what is the difference between these two coins.
