Sorry this isn't a American silver eagle. This is a Morgan silver dollar. The mintmark is located above the DO in DOLLAR on the back of the coin.
For 90% silver one dollar coins they have about 24 grams of silver.

American circulation coins were never made of pure silver. They contained at least 10% copper for hardness. 1971 dollar coins for circulation contained NO silver - they were made of copper and nickel. Collectors' coins were struck in 40% silver.
No U.S. one dollar silver coins dated 1962 were made. The last one was in 1935. Look at the coin again and post new question.

American Silver Eagles were fist made in 1986, by the date (1943) you have a Liberty Walking Half dollar with a average value of $10.00
Your coin is called a Morgan dollar. "American Eagle" coins are modern bullion pieces made since 1986 for collectors and investors; Morgan, Peace, and other standard-issue silver dollars were made for use in ordinary commerce.
