No one source is accurate. Usually checking three or four different websites it the best thing to do if you're writing an answer. If you know for a fact what the answer is, double check on a website you know will have the answer. Official websites will have all of the answers usually on an FAQ and others wikis. You can't be sure what's true and what's not; hence looking for more websites for the same information.
You'll usually find a lot of the websites have similar information, or even totally different information. In cases like that, you should go to the official site of what you're looking for example: if you're wondering about recipes from the Taste of Home, go to the Taste of Home's website/forums to see reviews instead of stray reviews on the internet.
Yes. The answers are usually accurate, and if they're not, then you can look at the source where they got the answer from so that you can better understand the answer. Typically answers are not provided by people like they are on WikiAnswers, usually they are gotten from a source which tends to be a lot more credible.
