An "allogenic" transplant is a human-to-human transplant. (A "xenogenic" transplant would be animal-to-human).

This type of transplant where the recipient is not the same as the donor is called an allogeneic transplant. Much of the success of allogeneic transplants depends on finding a good HLA match.
