Ansul is a brand name for wet chemical fire suppression equipment found in kitchens of restaurants and hotels. The systems usually contain an automated activation system (via a heat rated fusible link) and a manual release mechanism.
A low Ph fire suppression chemical (known as Ansulex, or R-102) is stored within agent tanks, and is fed through supply lines after actuation by pressurised Nitrogen or CO2 (stored in cartridge form) to discharge nozzles above appliances. Most of the system components are made from Stainless Steel for hygiene reasons.
Ansul systems are very design specific and should only be designed, installed and maintained by authorised Ansul distributors and engineers.

Yes, you can. If your shunt trip is 120 volts, just get 120 volt from your panel and take it to your ansul normally open contacts than to your shunt trip braker. than when your ansul system trips it will trip your shunt braker.

An ANSUL kitchen fire suppression system can be operated either automatically, via a certain heat rated fusible link on an activation line, or via a manual release mechanism.
My brother has a Restaurant and days ago, he upgraded the Fire Suppression System (also named Ansul System). So the ansul, has only a microswitch that has only 3 leads (two contacts, one "nc" and "no"). Now, how is the diagram to interconnect this microswitch with othe elements (electrical) to disconnect one outlet that is located under the hood plus the fan, as per code here in the city? The guy who install the Ansul did only the mechanical part. I'm an electrician and I would like to do the electrical connections.
