A military dictatorship is a type of government where there military holds political power. There is no attention to public opinion or individual rights, i.e. if someone where to disagree with the military they'd be arrested and probably killed.
Example of a military Dictatorship:
Burma (Myanmar) - which is starting to improve its ways with the release of elected female Aung San Suu Kyi who was put under house arrest for 15 years by the military when she was elected into parliament.

∙ 9y agoA military dictatorship is a form of government in which the local military has seized power and governs without the legitimacy of being elected. This might be for legitimate reasons such as in Egypt and Thailand, where the military took control after civilian - religious leadership was driving the country towards civil war, or for sheer greed and tribal retaliation, as evidenced by Idi Amin or , Mobuto Sese Seko.
