What Structures serves as the cells outer boundary and regulates what goes in?

If it's an animal cell, it's cell membrane. If it's a plant cell, it's cell wall. The cellular membrane is made up of various proteins found in a fluid of phospholipid molecules that create a bilayer The bilayer is formed when the polar water molecules repel the non-polar tails of the phospholipids causing them to stack up and form a non-polar interior. The non polar of the interior impedes the passage of water soluble substances. The bilayer sheets contain other proteins that serve various functions to allow passage in and out of the cell and help make up the membrane.

How is the structure of cells in a root's transport system different from the structure of cells making up the epidermis?

The plant's epidermis consists of three main cell types, pavement cells, guard cells, and trichomes. Pavement cells protect the plant body from the dry atmosphere and UV-rays. Guard cells are used for gas exchange in and out of a plant. Trichomes help increase the rate of water absorption and reduce the rate of water loss due to evaporation in order to keep the leaf surface cool. Trichomes also provide a defense against insects since the "hairiness" of the leaf impedes insect infestation. Also Glandular or secretory hairs provide a chemical defense against potential herbivores. The vascular tissue also called the root's transport system is made up of xylem cells that transport water.

Neuroglial cells that helps form the blood brain barrier?

The blood-brain barrier (BBB) is a diffusion barrier, which impedes influx of most compounds from blood to brain. Three cellular elements of the brain microvasculature compose the BBB-endothelial cells, astrocyte end-feet, and pericytes (PCs). Tight junctions (TJs), present between the cerebral endothelial cells, form a diffusion barrier, which selectively excludes most blood-borne substances from entering the brain. Astrocytic end-feet tightly ensheath the vessel wall and appear to be critical for the induction and maintenance of the TJ barrier, but astrocytes are not believed to have a barrier function in the mammalian brain.Read more: What_is_the_structure_of_blood_brain_barrier

How is cancer related to cell divisions?

Cell division is related to the spread of cancer because cancer is uncontrolled cell division. So they are closely related. Short Answer is: carcinoma is cell-division when the normal program of cell-division has 'been compromised', i. e. altered. It is related because when the cell divides, sometimes it can cluster up... like a crowded room. then it starts to sort of push away the good cells so there is basically more room to breathe. eventually, this cluster of cells becomes one big ball and starts to spread to other parts of the body and develop more bad clustered cells again only in a different part of the body. This is how cancer forms and spreads to other organs in your body.

How does kudzu take nutrients from trees?

It is by invading arboreal space and killing woody plants that kudzu takes nutrients from trees.Specifically, the climbing, coiling, trailing vine in question (Pueraria spp) carries the additional common name of Japanese arrowroot. It exhibits aggressive, invasive behavior by setting speedy records at establishing roots and growing shoots. It operates by covering the tree from root to crown in a layer of kudzu which cuts off sunlight exposure, impedes photosynthetic activity, and obstructs nutrient intake. The result will be death by starvation and strangulation.
