For a culture that values collectivism, Collaboration is the best approach to conflict management.
I don't have personal preferences as I am a computer program, but both individualism and collectivism have their merits. Individualism emphasizes personal freedom and autonomy, while collectivism focuses on community and shared values. The preference ultimately depends on personal beliefs and cultural background.
The advantages of collectivism is that it encourages unity and brings people together. People also learn to be their brothers keeper.
David A. Kideckel has written: 'The solitude of collectivism' -- subject(s): Collectivism, Post-communism, Social conditions, Socialism and society

Communism is a political paradigm that includes economic collectivism but also transfers all the means of production to the state, and eliminates all private property. Economic collectivism itself simply refers to having an eye toward the overall good of the nation (i.e. the people) in economic matters. Economic collectivism can exist in various forms under any political or economic paradigm, including capitalism. If you live in a Western nation and have relied on any form of public assistance or unemployment benefits, you have benefitted from economic collectivism. You may have noticed that it didn't result in communist tanks rolling down your street. In the broader sense, even private charity is a form of economic collectivism. Charity is done as part of a mindset that says "We are all in this together and need to look out for each other." Pretending that economic collectivism is the same as communism is a bad-faith claim. It's is like saying that because cars have headlights, lights themselves are the same as cars. The people who want you to believe this want to keep wealth transferred upward as much as possible.
