chlorine water + sunlight gives chlorine and oxygen in normal STP conditions .
chlorine water + sunlight gives chlorine and oxygen in normal STP conditions .
I guess the reaction is photosynthesis and the word equation for this is- water+Carbon dioxide+energy(sunlight)----->glucose+oxygen and the balanced symbol equation- 6CO2+6H2O+(light)---->C6H12O6+6O2 hope this helps :)
Silver chloride turns grey in sunlight because of decomposition reaction. this decomposition reaction is called photoletic decomposition. 2AgCl gives Ag + Cl2 (silver (silver) (chloride) chloride)
chlorine and oxygen
It forms hydrogen chloride
Under diffused sunlight, hydrogen gas and chlorine gas directly combine to form hydrogen chloride. Under direct sunlight the same reaction is explosive. It is not usually formed by its ions.

Watery chlorine should be protected from sunlight.

It is a photochemical reaction; the diatomic molecule of chlorine is photochemically (under the action of photons) dissociated in chlorine radicals. Chlorine radicals react with the diatomic molecule of hydrogen to form hydrogen chloride (HCl). A radical chain reaction was initiated and is continued. For details you can read a very interesting article at the link below.

Do you mean elemental chlorine, or the "chlorine" that's used in swimming pools?Sunlight can break down swimming pool "chlorine". For that matter, it can break down elemental chlorine also, into two chlorine free radicals, which are much more reactive than elemental chlorine (which is, itself, kinda reactive). Sunlight can cause a mixture of elemental chlorine and elemental hydrogen to explode.Free radical chlorine is serious business. It's one of the prime culprits in the degradation of the Earth's ozone layer.
Sunlight, chlorine...
Word equation for photosynthesis: carbon dioxide + water ---in the prescence of sunlight and chlorophyll --> glucose + oxygen Balanced symbol equation: 6CO2 + 6H2O ---> C6H12O6 + 6O2 Therefore the reactant gas is carbon dioxide and the product gas is oxygen.
