many people and agencies are involved in protecting the giraffe and its natural habitat. giraffes eat tops of bushes and trees due to their long neck. they can also run fast if needed, e.g. when escaping a lion. giraffes are also found in zoos where an elevated platform is used by zoo personnel to feed them due to their long neck. some zoo personnel find them to be mildly problematic, possibly because of their great hight. while we can only speculate on what wild animals think about, giraffes are known to have certain unspecified "issues". many books are available about giraffes, including "The giraffe, a partner in our wild lands" by Horseman Diaz. i highly recommend this book.
People are setting up missions to stop people from hunting them, they are trying to set aside land for them, they are relocating and releasing them from zoos and rescue centers into the wild. Those are just some things people are doing to help the giraffes.
