nook color, or even the nook tablet. they are more reliable and faster
Ive owned both , the nook color freezes, and is not useful after a couple of days and games cost WAY more. Kindle is way better, very useful, cheap popular games, and has cloud.

∙ 12y agoThe difference is, is that the regular nook isn't a touch screen, you can only read books, I don't know if you can go on the internet and the nook color is a touch screen, has books and apps, and has Internet!

∙ 13y agoNook- E-Ink display, so you can read in sunlight but not in dark places ( black&white) however, it has a small color capacitive touchscreen at the bottom
NC- LCD backlight display, so you can't read in the sunlight but you can read in the dark ( and it has color) capacitive touchscreen
Nook- Runs android (idk what version)
NC- Runs a scaled- down version of android 2.1 (eclair) with possible upgrade to 2.2 in april
Nook- more physical buttons
NC- only physical buttons are home, volume, lock.
Nook- wifi +3g (att)
NC- wifi only
Also worth mentioning is that the NC has a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen, similar to many tablet computers. The prices are similar on each. If you want a e-reader completely dedicated to e-reading, get nook. If you want a bunch of other things as well, but minus the e-ink and 3g, get nc.

∙ 11y agoFunction wise they are the same, although Nook Tablet can stream movies and TV shows from Netflix for instance better than the Color.
Also, the Tablet has a larger memory and faster processor.
