The simple truth is, there isn't much difference.
Ford and GM have been trading engineers back and forth for so long that there ARE no real differences between the two.
Both are excellent engines. That is a matter of opinion. I am a sm. block lover, so you know what I think. but don't under estimate the 351. I had a 1970 ,351 Cleveland, and it was a great engine. I ran, and beat many sm. block Chevys with it. (but I like sm. block Chevys.) The only thing against the 351 is the larger main bearing size . While this is good for a low speed engine at higher engine speeds the outside of bearing surface is increased to point of failure due to mass and speed of surface . But they have done some work on that to help oiling and strength so it's all in what you like .
Ford and Chevy engine parts will not interchange.
No, they are not interchangeable.
No, the Chevy cam will not fit in a Ford engine.a 302 ford cam will fit in a 351,but the engine will need to be timed to 302 specs if this is used. Later on H.O. 302 engines had the same firing order as as the 351 Windsor.
no, a 350 (Chevy) engine is 5.7 liters. Ford's 351 is classified at a 5.8 liter. a 454 motor is 7.4 liters. Both the Chevy (305) and Ford (302) are considered 5.0 liters.according to Google,1 cubic inches = 0.016387064 literstherefore, take your 350 and multiply it by the 0.016387064 and you get 5.74 liters, which apparently Chevy rounds down to 5.7.
If you are talking about a Ford 350 engine, they have never built a 350. They have built a 351 & 352 but not a 350. If you are talking about the F350 it has been built since 1953.
Unlike chevys 305, 350, and 400 which are interchangeable. The Ford 302 and 351 are not interchangeable.
Well, if a Mustand 5.0 is a 302 and if a Dodge 5.9 is a 360 and if a Chevy 5.7 is a 350 I'm betting this is the Ford 351. A great engine.

In a Ford E-350 : The 351 / 5.8 liter GASOLINE V8 engine was used since the first model year ( 1975 ) to the ( 1996 ) model year
Yes, I have done several MS installations. 350's and 351's (stroker, actually) with MS-I v3.0 What is your question?
