It depends on the individual dog and your personal preference. Always make sure you meet a potential pet first, to make sure it's a good fit. I have had experience with both male and female labs, and they were both wonderful.
male
My oppinion is yes but it depends on the person and the dog.
Yes
When the female is ready the male will know.
No, it would be too large for the female dog and the puppies will hard for the female to give birth to. Female possibly could die. It's best to breed a smaller male with your poodle or at least the same size, but smaller is better.
I have a male lab and he is so playful and affectionate but females are just as loveable.
If you want your dog at the house at all times i recomend a female lab and when its older it may get puppies which your children would adore. A male labrador would be very playful but may be gone rambling
Yes
Chocolate labs are the breed itself. If you wanted a smaller dog, you would want a female dog because they tend to be smaller. However, almost all chocolate labs are male. To get a smaller dog I would go with a black lab or a yellow lab.
Yes, the can. For instance, if a large male dog has sex with a medium/small dog, the small female dog will give birth to a dog that will probably be bigger than her. I would say that there is an 80% chance it can happen.
Well, if you are kind and gentle, and your friends are like that too, a female small dog would be most popular. But if you are a tough guy that wants a dog you can hunt with or something like that, a male lab or boxer or golden would be popular. Male and female have same popularity, but pick the one that's seems right for you.
