First make sure it's "seen" by your comp and appears on list of devices, (should happen first time you plug in usb and it is on)download software that came with it or download any suggested by your OS (drivers etc) afterwards go to programs and use whatever program your OS has for that to start a scan (like Windows Media Manager) Your OS will have at least one default program already that can do that if you have device. you may even get a scan choice by going to device in device manager and simply right clicking on it. Then simply follow prompts, scan and save in your comp.
Your computer might be affected by virus. Perform a virus scan. Or re-install your OS!
Use the command line: Bootrec/rebuildBCD
Depending on the problem and if you do not want to reinstall the OS(remember backup) you can either restore Windows to a prior date before the problem or boot with a Windows 7 DVD and try a repair. You can also access prompt from the DVD and run diskcheck and bootrec commands. Do research before using commands.
You can often fix a missing or corrupt boot sector by using the "bootrec" command in the Windows Recovery Environment. You can access this environment by booting from a Windows installation media. In the command prompt, type "bootrec /fixboot" and "bootrec /rebuildbcd" to rebuild the boot sector and repair the boot configuration data.
The "bootrec fixboot" command is used in Windows Recovery Environment to repair issues with the Master Boot Record (MBR) or Boot Configuration Data (BCD) that may be preventing Windows from booting correctly. This command can help resolve startup problems and restore the Windows boot process.
A common problem that would cause a HP PSC 2355 all-in-one printer not to scan is if your computer is missing the required device drivers. A device driver is software that allows the OS to communicate with hardware.
it probably doesn't because like macs it runs on a different os. if your really unsure however you can scan the psp drive on your computer.
The Xerox WorkCentre 7120 can scan to Macs running Mac OS X. The Xerox Scan Utility software should have been installed in a Xerox folder within the Mac's Applications folder. It will also work directly with standard TWAIN compliant applications such Word and PhotoShop.
