A very good and well proved use of Bryophillum is in vogue in Indian conventional threapy for the treatment of renal calculi. The paste of its one medium sized leaf, if taken empty stomach daily in morning for a month or so, it dissolves and passes out renal calculi even from the silent region of kidney.

Bryophyllum is a medicinal and ornamental plant .It is succulent in habit hence it can grow in dry areas .Its leaves are toothed .It is also called Life plant as if it is placed in soil it forms new plant from buds located in notches of leaf . In Aruvedic system of medicine it is used to cure kidney stones .
