check the exhaust system for loose mounting clamps. Check the shock, springs, and bushings. also check the gas tank straps. If the banging is when the gears are changed from park to reverse, recheck the u-joints, at the ends of the drive shaft. Brakes can sometimes make a banging noise. if not these then look for loose nuts, bolt in the area of the noise. then the sound may be coming directly from the the rear end or the transmission. hope it helps. duboff

Why does the passenger side headlight of my 1993 Jeep Sport Cherokee keep burning out?

Most likely a bad ground (earth) run a new gronund wire from the back of the headlight. ...................... Additionally: Is the bulb glass broken? If so, you have moisture in the lens. If need be you can replace the entire module with bulb, both sides for about $45.oo.. Look up on E-bay and then check above listing for changing Lens Housing 94-98.. ^this answer is for a grand cherokee. With a Cherokee, you just replace the entire bulb (as you undoubtedly know already). On top of a bad ground, however, the wiring feeding the bulb could be bad and cause the issue as well (the headlights on my dad's 82 dodge omni were bright as day on the driver and dim on the passenger side; the passenger bulb had to be replaced once every 5 or 6 months until we rewired the connector, at which point it worked perfectly).

Is Crockett a a Cherokee surname?

Cherokee's do not have surnames; surnames is a complete invention of the European culture. When Cherokee's were forced to begin using surnames, they took names from people they already knew or respected (in most cases). Please note that some Cherokee, both ancient and modern, began using their clan names to fulfill the surname requirement.
