What is causing the oil light on a 98 Dodge grand caravan to blink?

Most likely the oil pressure switch is bad. this answer was from another person. Lets ask some questions, 1 what is the engine size, 2 how many miles? 3what are the simptoms, 4 what is your oil pressure at idle fully warmed up with a manual guage. I had oil light problems on 3 different caravans which turned out to be the same problem, I was experiencing the oil light and chime at an idle on a fully warmed engine, the oil pressure was within specs it had 12PSI factory states 5PSI is normal. So don't panic, I traced the problem to a bad spot in the wire harness under the battery tray and repaired as needed. Try this first, do NOT condeme the oil screen and bearings before doing this step.....
