E20 is a lens error code. The lens either isn't aligned or it may need cleaning. Try running a lens cleaner disc through it.
It means that you need to clean the laser lens inside the CD player. The same thing happened to mine, it lasted a week after I cleaned it. I took it out again, it didn't look dirty, but I cleaned it anyways and it gave me the E20 error code again. Hope it works for you!!
You need to manually clean the laser lense on the CD player. How??? code 23 is what is displyed.
It should describe it in the owners manual. I know mine does, but its not with me. Probably can't read the disk.
It means it cannot focus on the CD. Trying cleaning it using compressed air, or removing it from the dash and cleaning it manually.
The Pontiac Montana CD player error code 20 is a reference to the CD player not recognizing the CD programming. Try to play another CD and see if the error code persists.
quite possible if cd is stuck this code will appear
how do i enter my code for my cd player in my vauxhall vactra cd 2000?
I can say for sure that E20 means "Unreadable Disc", but the reason might have to do with overheated discs. I found that using a commercial CD (an actual, band released CD) gave me no problems, but when I used my own "burned" CD's, some of them would overheat in about an hour in the stock CD player and actually WARP. This is when I would get the E20 error message, and the disc would be very difficult to remove until it cooled off.AnswerIf you received the error message E20 after putting in a burnt CD or a scratched CD then I'm pretty sure that is the error message for "unreadable data" for that certain model of Firebird. Since it's been awhile since I've seen that message in my Firebird(long since installed an after market CD player) I cannot be certain that is the correct answer. AnswerE20 : Focus Error Cause(s): The CD player cannot focus on the disc or there is an internal focus problem. Correction(s): Try cleaning the disc or using a new disc. Make sure the disc is loaded correctly. The road could be too rough or there is too much humidity."
Error code 3 on a Mitsubishi CD player means that the track is out of line. It is possible that a CD broke inside the player that caused the track to jam up. Either way, the CD player will have to be replaced.
