Conditional love is love that is based on something. For example if you love someone because they are beautiful, and then they lose their looks in an accident, and you no longer love them, that is conditional love. If someone loves a person because of what they buy them, and then stops loving them when the gifts stop, that is conditional love as well.

Is marriage a conditional love or unconditional love?

Conditional Love: This is love that depends on what is received from the person the love is given to. For example, I will love you if....you are rich, if you have a great car, if you will not betray me, if you will not lie to me, if you have a great body. This love asks for something in return, it has a condition! As soon as *if* comes into the equation in whatever way..that is conditional love. Unconditional Love: This is love that is given without any *conditions*. This is love that has no limits or boundaries, it does not possess, or dictate. It is freely given without expectations of receiving in return. There is never an *if* in this equation. Normally this love is only truly perceived in the spiritual sense. Yet, it is not unheard of on earth. Unconditional means making no discernments good or bad. There is no such thing as unconditional love.
