A standard processor had one core like in P1, P2, P3, P4. It means it can performed only one task at a time. Now to make computer able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously it is being manufactured with multiple processors.
A Dual-core processor has two cores.
A Quad-core processor has four cores.
An i3 processor has 2 cores.
An i5 processor has 2 or 4 cores (depending on the model you have.)
An i7 processor has 2, 4 or 6 cores (depending on the model you have.)
Tekken 5 is a computer fighter game. The game can be played on an Intel Core i5 computer not on an Intel Core i3 computer. This is because the Intel Core i3 computer does not have the specifications to support the game.
Intel Core i5 i5-7xx, Core i7 i7-8xx, Xeon L34xx, Xeon X34xx, Celeron G1xxx, Pentium G6xxx, Core i3 i3-5xx, and Core i5 i5-6xx. The 'x' represents any number.
IS ACER CORE I3 BETTER HP CORE 13 BETTER, what is the difference in price as well as performance
Intel Core i5 is a fast, responsive processor. It is not as good as Core i7, but better than Celtron, Core 2 Duo, and Core i3.

Quad core comes after dual core. Although Intel has a new range called i3, i5 and i7.
Core I5 480m is significantly faster the i5 480m can turbo-boost to 2.93 whereas the 370m is stuck at 2.4
As of 3/14/2010, Intel's latest processors are the Core i series. The Core i series consists of the Core i3, Core i5, Core i7.
The current lineup of Core processors includes the latest Intel Core i7, Intel Core i5, and Intel Core i3
i suggest you upgrade to a i5 or i7 processor as i3 is only dual core. Plus you will need a moderate amount of RAM
The short answer is that the i3 is in fact a dual core processor, but with more features than the previous generation of dual core processors (Intel Core Duo.)The Intel i3 processor has a faster bus speed and more cache memory than an Intel Core Duo processor. It also has integrated graphics. For those of you building your own computer, you can buy an i3 processor and a motherboard with an integrated HDMI output. This means that you don't have to buy your own video card.Caveat: In the i3/i5/i7 line of processors, if you get a quad-core processor (like the i5-760) the trade-off is that it does not have the integrated graphics, and so you should not get a motherboard that has the on-board video outputs.Source can be found in the link posted in Sources and related links below.I rightly enjoy this answer above, but would like to add that all i3, i5, and i7 Intel processers possess integrated graphics solutions after Lynnfield. This means Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge, and Haswell. This means if the i3, i5, or i7 has a 4 digit number instead of 3 digit number for reference, it will support integrated graphics. An i5-760 has no integrated video, but an i5-2500k does.Core 2 Duo uses a different socket than all iterations of the i3 processor, which is important to note if a consumer is interest in upgrading / changing from Duo to i3.
The Core i3 is a low-end processor line made by Intel. Some specifications are listed below: Core i3-530 - 2.93 GHz dual-core, priced at $113 Core i3-540 - 3.07 GHz dual-core, priced at $117 Core i3-550 - 3.20 GHz dual-core, priced at $138 Core i3-560 - 3.33 GHz dual-core, priced at $138 All of these processors are available on Intel's LGA-1156 socket, and are on the low end of Intel's Core lineup. AMD makes a comparable, but much less expensive, line of dual-core processors called the Athlon II X2 series.
