Cosmetic surgery would be any kind of surgery performed strictly for the purpose of altering the appearance. Face lifts, breast enhancements, rhinoplasties ("nose jobs"), gluteal (butt) lifts, hair transplants, etc. I'm not sure what you mean by "involves".
