The part can be purchased for about $12 from autozone. You should bleed the clutch fluid after replacing the slave cylinder. It is common to replace the master cylinder at the same time as the parts have nearly the same life span.
Remember, keep the master cylinder full so you don't suck air into the slave cylinder. Then you put the fluid in the slave cylinder.
if it is standard trans it does
The slave cylinder would be the part at the transmission.
on the passenger side of the transmission
You drive the cold roll pin out, BUT if planning on replacing slave cyl, replacing the master line and slave as a unit is recommended more often then not there will be a leak when replacing line.
They are all pretty much the same, there is a bleeder relief on the slave, have someone pump and hold the master, you release pressure at the slave then tighten again ( make sure they keep pressure on the pedal ) then repeat until no more air comes out, if the fluid is dirty keep going until it runs clean, you will need to keep adding fresh fluid at the master as you go, dont let it run out or you have to start all over again.
Bad clutch slave cylinder or failed soft hose from master to slave cylinder.
Does my 1995 Toyota Paseo have a clutch cable
At least the slave cylinder. The clutch master cylinder can be replaced at any time.
On my 1998, the slave cylinder is located inside the bell housing - a very stupid place for it IMO. If you are replacing the slave cylinder, it might be a good time to replace the clutch too.
seal has gone on slave cylinder, it needs replacing.
The slave cylinder is located on the driver side of your bell housing going to your motor. Its a cylinder about the size of a roll of quarters.. maybe a little bigger.
