first, your 'lingo' is the problem... a LOF (lube, oil and filter) consists of
1. drain oil, add new oil
2, replace oil filter with new one.
3. Lubricate the chassis (grease nipples) where it is added to lubricate suspension areas. these vary between cars, and most brands do not have any anymore.
Lube Oil Filter is another name mechanics use when performing an Oil Change service. The reason is that an Oil Change generally includes lubing various car joints, removing and replacing the engine oil and replacing the engine oil filter.
there is a small difference in lube ( coming from the latin word: Lubersaph ) and oil, so it isn't a question that you need to know into a matter of substantionary work.

you drop the bottom fairing, exposing oil filter, using oil filter strap or pliers take off the old filter. wipe clean oil filter housing, lube gasket on new filter with new oil, spin on new filter, and tighten.
All oil filters are particulate filters. They filter "particles" from the oil. How well they do it is another matter. Stick with a name brand filter and you'll be fine.
If you drive normally and use conventional oil change the oil & filter every 5,000 miles.
