the 352 engine is the same block style as 330,360,361,390,391
the 351 if its a windsor engine its style is like a 302. if its a 351modified or a 351 Cleveland its like a 400,
The above is correct the 352 has the same block from those but also includes 427 non sohc or side oiler and the non cj 428 most common are 352,390,360,428 tri power set ups are scarce
no different bell housing
No, they are not. A 352 is part of the FE engine family. The 351 could be part of the 351m/400, Cleveland, or Windsor family. In and case, the FE family had its own bell housing bolt pattern that would not swap out with anything else.
If you are talking about a Ford 350 engine, they have never built a 350. They have built a 351 & 352 but not a 350. If you are talking about the F350 it has been built since 1953.
Around 5.8 liters ( Ford calls their 351 a 5.8 liter and their 360 a 5.9 liter )
Ford's 351 cubic inch V8 engine is a 5.8L ( but back in the 1960's Ford also calls the 352 a 5.8L )
yes part of the FE class engines also the 360 ,390 and 428 cid engines. Most people replace the 352 with a 390 or 428 because it has the same mounts.
260, 289, Standard 302, 352, 360, 390, 406, 427, 428, 429, 460, 514=302 HO & 351 have a firing order of 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8=
will a 352 fit in a ford ranger
If your talking about a ford fe 427, made from 1963 to 1968, yes it is a ford fe big block. Fe engines were made from 1958 to 1976. These engines should not be confused with later 385 series big blocks sold as 370, 429 and 460 cid. Fe engines came as 332, 352, 390, 406, 410, 427 and 428 cid for automobles and 359, 360, 361, 389 and 391 cid for medium and heavy duty trucks. As of late many people have been making 427 cubic inch stroker 351 windsor engines, which of course are not big blocks.
if you are looking for the fireing order it is 15426378 i believe but you can also look behind the carburetor on the manifold. justtake off the air filter and it is right there just behind the carburetor... and i believe that the order is 15426378... that's all ford V8 engines, except the 351, 400... which is 13726548. and the 272, 292, 312, and the 368 are 15486372... and all ford v8 engines are numbered 12345678. looking at the engine block from the front of the truck. 1,2,3,4 being on your left bank... and 5,6,7,8 being on your right bank.
The 351C shares many characteristics with its mother series, the 335 series. It is a 4V or 2v engine with a 352 cubic in displacement and had five different variants.
There is no such thing as a "351 big block". ALL Ford 351's are considered small blocks, tho the wacked terminology of "351 big block" is mistakenly and continually repeated by the un-knowing and by many who should know better. Ford Motor Company considers ALL 351's small blocks; 351W, 351C, and 351M. Ford made a 352 big block (FE block like 360, 390, 406, 427, & 428). If that is what you meant, no the transmission bolt patterns are not the same. The 351W and 351C both have the same trans bolt pattern but the 351M has a bolt pattern like the 429 and 460.
