Please do not use acetone to soften earwax. There are commercially available solutions that are far less invasive. Acetone should not be placed in the ear canal except in extreme cases, like when a kid pushes something acetone-soluble into their ear that can cannot be removed. In that case it should only be done by a physician. Like most waxes, earwax becomes very pliable and as the temperature increases. So by flushing your ear with a lot of warm water (like quarts) you can usually accomplish the same thing as the over-the-counter remedies.
Waxes, such as that found in the ear, provide a helpful barrier against infection. Earwax collects dirt and microbes that might otherwise enter the body.
Another name for earwax is cerumen. Earwax is a waxy substance that is yellow in color and is secreted in the ear canal.
Earwax, also known by the medical term cerumen, is a yellowish waxy substance. This web site explains all about earwax very well:http://kidshealth.org/kid/talk/yucky/earwax.html

That's a good question! As I understand it, earwax protects the ear by the collection & removal of foreign bodies!
No. God does not have earwax, for He has no physical ears, for He is God, spirit, and therefore not man.
Earwax isn't good for a cold sore after a scab has formed.
