A very complicated thing...which nobody has answered yet.
We can create a exception sub class by extending Exception class available in java
java exception
Since the Java program is basically a text file, you can write it in any text editor (although using a Java IDE, or an IDE with support for Java, does give you certain advantages). Thus, you can use programs such as NotePad or NotePad++ to write the Java program. Using word processors such as MS-Word is problematic, because these insert additional codes. You would have to make sure you save the resulting file in the text format - give the "Save As" command, and choose a text format from the list.
That may happen when Java tries to parse a String, to convert it into a number. In this case, if the String doesn't contain a valid number - or perhaps if it contains additional symbols not appropriate for a number - you may get this error.
just add an extension .java when you save your notepad text file
1. Arithmetic Exception 2. Input Output Exception 3. Number Format Exception
You can change the file extension from .txt to .jar but .jar is a java format and is not normally used to wrap text.

What i know is java we will use compiler when it want to get class file(file with .class extension) from java file(file with .java extension).
java exception
The java file has the actual JAVA code present in it,..i.e the entire coding is done in that file.. you can view it using any text editor.. After compiling it you get a class file of every class present in the java file When you open a class file in a text editor, you won't see anything that makes sence. You won't find the original code that you wrote in the java file. That is because a class file is a product of the compilation of a java file.

exception
Java created a file called class, and is identified by having the .class at the end. This file includes a Java bytecode, which then can be used on the Java Virtual Machine.

The Java Archive (JAR) file format enables you to bundle multiple files into a single archive file and Typically a JAR file contains the class files and auxiliary resources associated with applets and applications
