There are more then a hundred forms of Arthritis. one thing they all have in common is their effect on the joints causing them to become sore and stiff and thereby limiting mobility. The reasons for these problems may vary from just the effects of joint trauma or wear and tear in the case osteoarthritis, to autoimmune problems where cartilage and other tissue comes under attack in diseases such as Rheumatoid arthritis, to chemical imbalances in diseases such as gouty arthritis to much uric acid in the blood and pseudo gout too much calcium in the blood. any of these and other problems can have serious defects on the joints and in some cases other tissue or or organs.
There is at present no cure for rheumatoid arthritis, which is an Autoimmune disease.
