What is going on with Yahoo Answers it looks to be falling apart?

Overall, Yahoo is going downhill to such an extent that they are talking about a corporate buyout or merger. As a result, most of the yahoo properties have been neglected. Everything from yahoo search, to localworks, to ymail and even yahoo answers has been second rate for some time now and at this point yahoo does not have the ability or luxury to address these issues when they are having revenue problems.

Is WikiAnswers going to get bought out by Google or Yahoo?
Google tried Google Answers in the past and it is now out of commission. Yahoo! already has their own answers site, Yahoo! Answers. Answers.com is a competitor to Yahoo! Answers. There's no way to predict whether Google or Yahoo might buy out Answers.com or whether Answers.com might buy out web properties from Google or Yahoo in the future.
