H2Ocean is an over priced cash grab, the market is flooded with products claiming to be "the ultimate aftercare product". Well so is soap and water, as well as a good mouth wash and decent oral care. Don't get conned into spending more than you need to for aftercare products. Talk to a good non biased professional body piercer and they will tell you the truth. Soap and water daily works wonders and it's cheap...

Some people do believe that H2Ocean is just glorified salt water in a can. However, it does have added benefits. H2Ocean uses reverse osmosis water. If you are unfamiliar with the reverse osmosis process it is to remove impurities form the water such as:

· Coliform bacteria· Fluoride · Chlorine· Lead· Arsenic

· E coli· Perchlorate· VOCs· Viruses· Radon· Herbicides· Pesticides

· Bromate· Sulphur· Radioactive materials

In addition to that H2Ocean adds to their sea salt water mixture a natural enzyme called lysozyme. This enzyme is a natural antibiotic. It helps your piercing to heal while eliminating the possibilities for infection. In addition to these benefits H2Ocean uses a bag in a can system which allows no cross contamination and makes it easy to use, especially if you are on the go and don't have time to soak. H2Ocean also makes a mouthwash that contains reverse osmosis water and the lysozyme enzyme for your oral piercings.

Is your belly button piercing infected?

Yellow or slightly greenish discharge is a sign it's infected. Never use peroxide on a piercing. it's way too harsh. I would recommend either using H2Ocean sea salt spray, or Wound Wash. They are both made for piercings and i use H2Ocean on all of my piercings and none of them have been really infected. I purchased H2Ocean at Hot Topic, but you can probably find similar products at a tattoo/piercing shop.

Which product can you use for clean your tongue piercing?

Use an alcohol free mouthwash to rinse with. muffinmoose93: H2Ocean is only a couple bucks and is what i got at the piercing shop, also there is a very expensive but highly recommended mouthwash called Biotene, and I've never done it...mixing sea salt with water.

I just got my lip pierced and its been 3 days so far and all i had was green-clear color and i want to know what i should do?

That sounds an awful lot like it's infected (that green-clear being puss). Although, when I got mine done it happened as well. I think it's pretty normal. When you got it pierced they should have instructed you to clean it three times a day on the outside with either Wound Wash Saline or H2Ocean. On top of that, you should be washing your mouth out with some H2Ocean mouthwash. Best thing to do is to keep it as clean as possible.

What are some stuff you can clean your belly button with?

Please invest in the FDA approved sea salt spray H2Ocean, which keeps it's contents sterile as well. oh and also promotes healthy white blood cells to create new skin fast.

What should you do for infected piercings?

go 2 th doctor. ADDITION INFO Neosporin will work on them. Clean them and put the neosporin on the infected areas several times a day. Tattoo shops also sell a foam called H2Ocean that is great. It clears/heals anything I have used it on including my tattoos and piercings.

Is it safe to get your nose repierced when previously it would often get swollen and get a white bump near it?

Yes, it is. Just not if the bump is still there. Just take care of it this time. The bump that you refer to is normal for new nose piercings. I (as well as any other good body piercer) would recommend H2Ocean for the aftercare of your piercing. Make sure that you go to a clean, sterile shop!

Can neosporin take the ink out of a tattoo?

No. Any good tattoo artist will tell you never use Neosporin. H2Ocean is a great brand of healing products for care of tattoos and piercings. While I agree with the last guy on H2Ocean, we sell it in my shop. It is truly great, I use it myself. How ever if the client does not want to spend the 10 bucks on the H2Ocean we wil give them a small packet of bacitration...Why, because a tattoo is a topical wound and like any topical wound should be treated with a antibiotic oinment for the first three days. The secret to using an antibiotic ointment is dont use very much of it... In fact if you can see it on there you have too much...We dont give neosporin away because it contains neomyacin and 3 out of every 100 people are allergic to it....Hope this helps...

Disinfectants such as hydrogen peroxide or alcohol kill bacteria but they should not be used to treat piercing infections?

That's right. If you check the bottle they should both say that they should not be used on puncture wounds and Ive actually seen piercings that have been caused to reject because of these products. I always tell my clients to use a salt water solution to treat infection (H2Ocean is great) and Triple Antibiotic Ointment to prevent infection.

How do you take care of surface piercing?

Surface piercings are really tricky. I'd suggest unscrewing the ends to the surface bar, spraying the piercing with H2Ocean, and cleaning off the dried skin with a q-tip :) I've had 5 surface piercings, and I've found this to be the most effective way to clean them. But make sure you clean them EVERY day! Otherwise, you'll have to deal with mirgation or infection, which isn't fun at all.
