If your message reads that Quick Time cannot initialize due to error 2096, right-click Quick Time on your desktop, click on properties, and select the compatibility tab. De-select the compatibility mode box, then click apply. Try once again to open iTunes. If this does not work, see procedure below.
This is an error, where itunes is slower than usual or not working at all. Itunes should have been downloaded properly. It might be that it was not installed properly, and some of the files are not there. If this is not letting you go on itunes, uninstall it using control panel and add/remove programs. If it says to reboot your computer, you'll have to reboot it. Then reinstall it. This is a risk, because when rebooted you will lose all the information on your computer, but if you want itunes, then you should reboot.
I had this same problem for months. What you have to do is go to my computer, open c drive ,right click on itunes folder, open properties ,open compatabilities and deselect then click ok then you should be able to open itunes

Windows XP is compatible with older versions of iTunes, specifically up to iTunes 12.1.3, which is the last version that supports Windows XP. However, newer versions of iTunes require at least Windows 7 or later. It's important to note that using outdated software can pose security risks, as Windows XP no longer receives security updates from Microsoft.
Windows XP was published around October 25, 2001, and copyright protection lasts 95 years, so it will become public domain in the year 2096.
No, only Mac and Windows XP (and newer)
To use an iPod Shuffle with Windows XP, you need to install iTunes, which includes the necessary drivers for the device. Ensure you download a version of iTunes compatible with Windows XP, such as iTunes 12.1.3, as later versions may not support it. Once installed, iTunes should recognize the iPod Shuffle and allow you to manage music and settings.

If in Windows XP, your iTunes Library was in your My Music folder (C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\My Music\iTunes), in Windows Vista, it should be located here: C:\Users\[username]\music\iTunes
Windows XP is a classic version of windows. Itunes would install on it but it may be the much newer version of itunes. A tape camcorder works on windows xp but not on vista. New programs may not work on old systems but you can try to troubleshoot. Try deleting some items, your computer may be a bit full and not enough room for the itunes and try looking up some files needed for the installation.
