This is a collection of hymns, and poems, written be devout Muslims and Hindus. This collection was first known Adi Granth, or "first book".

It was declared that this collection should be the Guru for all time. The book is treated as one would treat a highly honored human Guru.

It always has its own room, and when ever it is moved it is attended be five Sikhs, who represent the Tanj Pyares ("five beloved"), the five men who came forward to start the Khalsa.

It is a holy book that is the guru for khalsa. The guru granth sahib has prayers and kirtan.

---- Clarification: The Guru Granth is the final Guru, and it contains all the teachings of the Gurus.
