Distilled (white) vinegar contains water and acetic acid. Other vinegars contain the same things plus various goop* either left over (as in cider vinegar or wine vinegar) or added (as in raspberry vinegar) to give it flavoring. * "Goop" is the technical term for "a whole lot of stuff I'm not going to bother to look up and it's probably not even fully known anyway."

Silver Swan vinegar is not particularly popular in the US, outside of the Filipino community. American cooks in general are not familiar with coconut and cane vinegars and very few recipes specifically call for them.

A Vinegar spider or Vinegaroon is shaped like a scorpion. It gives off a vinegar smell when it bites it's victims causing them to smell of vinegar. It is called a spider but is actually part of the scorpion family. It has a whip like tail but there is no stinger on it like the scorpion. Another name for it is also the Whip Spider. It is native to the southern US and Mexico.
Malt vinegar, white wine vinegar, white spirit vinegar. Spirit vinegar doesn't taste as good as any of the brewed vinegars. The closest substitute is probably white wine vinegar mixed with an equal quantity of apple juice. Failing that, mix apple juice with malt vinegar. Red wine vinegar would give a taste that you might not want.
Both white vinegar and balsamic vinegar are gluten free. Malt vinegar is not.
