I'll go out on a limb and guess that you have a Winchester 1904. It is a single-shot bolt action .22 with a 21" round barrel, one-piece plain gumwood stock with an extension on the trigger guard which forms sort of a pistol grip. Manufactured from 1904 to 1931. From 1904-1914 it was offered in .22 S & L: 1914-1927 in .22 S, L & EL; and after 1927 in .22 S, L, & LR. Standard Catalog of Firearms gives a value of $350-$500 in NRA Good-Very Good condition. But, if it is a Winchester and you can't read the company name on the barrel, it probably doesn't get graded that high.
they were made from 1904 to 1924. Production reached 305,984

I have a Stevens Peerless model I'm in need of a magazine and information about this old rifle.
My research indicates that the Winchester model 1904 single shot rifle had the same stock as the model 1900,and 1902.These stocks were of a one piece straight grip design. They were made of gum wood, and did not have a fitted butt plate.Winchester made a total of 302,859 rifles between 1904-1931.
As you probably know the Winchester model 1904 never were supplied with a serial number. This was not required of gun manufacture,s until the gun control act of 1968.The Winchester model 1904,was produced from 1904 until the year 1931.There were 305,984 made during that time span.
No such model. Winchester did not make a 'Model 1901 single shot .22 pump-action rifle.' They made a Model 1900, Model 1902 and Model 1904, which were all single-shot bolt-action rifles, and they made the Model 1890 and Model 1906 which were slide-action rifles but had tubular magazines.
