No they are completely different. A engine flush will only clean the engine a transmission flush will only clean the transmission. These two components use two different kinds on fluid therefor they can not be mixed together.

Sorry, I do not know. You just pull a drain plug to drain the transmission. To flush the transmission, he needs to drain the transmission, remove a cooler line, run the engine while filling the transmission so the torque converter can discharge any contaminated fluid. There is not an approved method for flushing the transmission itself,You can however flush the transmission cooler, "Manditory when the transmission is replaced". Pall makes an Allison approved cooler flusher,they are very expensive though. Allisontech

Really not a good idea unless you have a transmission malfunction. Check/change your transmission filter, and add a few quarts of Toyota ATF-III.

A transmission flush can replace 98% of the existing fluid with fresh transmission fluid. It basically purges the system of the old and replaces it with new. The old fluid, over time, will varnish and get sticky. A flush is designed to remove this varnish and restore better working order to the transmission. It does not effect the forward and reverse gears.

i usually will not do a tranny flush with over 100000 miles on a vehicle. if over that many miles, have a transmission specialist inspect your vehicle.
