It is also called copy and paste. It is a way of highlighting text on the Internet and placing it in another place. Copy and paste does not remove the text from the original source. It is sometimes used to copy a large amount of text from the original source and put the text on another site, which is plagairism. It can also be used to copy a word or phrase from a search to paste it in a search box, to move text from one place in Word and move it to another place, etc.

To put an image in an HTML document, first upload the image to a web server somewhere. Then, copy the URL of the document. Finally, place the following code into the HTML document: <image src="PASTE URL HERE" />
cut-and-paste will allow you to remove (cut) the text from the original place and put (paste) it in the new place, effecting the move. If you want the original left alone, then copy-and-paste will not remove the text from the original place.

you can open document then press print screen on keyboard, this will place image on clipboard, then open image editor and paste it
To 'paste' means to make an exact copy of previously 'copied' or 'cut' text, pictures, or any other form of data. Practically speaking, 'pasting' copied text into a work processor (such as Microsoft Word) will create an exact copy right where your cursor is at the time of pasting.
Control+X = will remove (cut) any text you highlight and you will be able to paste in in another location.
