Best Answer

agriculture system in which farmers grow products to sell to consumers, guided by the awareness that other players in the value creating chain - holistically - need to be looked at also. Farmers result from some input provider (seed bank) offering something worthwhile to grow. Their output are then taken on by traders, who may then process before marketers pitch these to their various networks.

So the original way of thinking about the subject of market oriented agriculture is now broadened for without these additional value-chain actors, the lag between farm output and sales may continue to widen.

Market oriented agriculture thus recognizes; input providers, farmers, traders, processors and marketers.
