Population momentum refers to population growth at the national level which would occur even if levels of childbearing immediate declined to replacement level.

Replacement level- replace the husband and wife with two children so when the parents both die the children will take their place in the population.

The cause of this is fertility rates

What is meant by total momentum of a system give an example using a collision?

The total momentum of a system is a measure of motion of one thing equal to the product of the same mass and velocity. This can also be called linear momentum as well as total momentum.

How do you cause a change in momentum?

Usually by changing the velocity.

Define demographic momentum?

Demographic momentum refers to the tendency of a population to continue to grow even after a significant decline in fertility rates. This is due to a large proportion of women of childbearing age in the population, resulting in a potential increase in the overall population size.

What could cause a car to shift weight when you turn?

Why is demographic momentum a matter of interest in population projections?

It is a matter of interest because after the demographic momentum changes it usually means that the country has entered a new demographic stage or transition. This plays a big effect on the countries new population and can exceed the previous population or decrease dramatically until reaching ZPG( Zero Population Growth)

What do you think may cause there to be a difference between the momentum before and after the collision?

Friction

What is meant by four momentum transfer?

Simply put, four-momentum transfer is the special relativistic spacetime analog of classical (three-) momentum transfer. In classical physics, two bodies can interact and exchange momentum in three spacial dimensions. In particle physics, strictly spatial momentum vectors do not suffice. Instead we use four-momentum, a Lorentz vector. Four-momentum transfer is often referred to as Q^2 is particle physics literature. An interaction that transfer a large amount of four-momentum is a high Q^2 interaction.

What factors do you think may cause there to be a difference between the momentum before and the momentum after the collision?

There is a Law of Conservation of Momentum, which states that total momentum is always conserved. In this case, that means that - assuming no additional bodies are involved - the total momentum before the collision will be the same as the total momentum after the collision. It doesn't even matter whether the collision is elastic or not.

What is meant by the term momentum trading?
