Acetone is more reactive than alcohol. The reason for this, is because alcohol dries up extremely quickly, and it evaporates fast, so it doesn't have much time to react.
water has a lower vapor pressure than alcohol or acetone, so it requires more heat energy to cause it to evaporate.

when you have rubbing alcohol with 91% more alcohol, distilled white vinegar, and water the distilled white vinegar wins for some reason but I'm guessing if acetone removes permanent marker then get an acetone nail polish remover and try that and vinegar an alcohol.
