Why is food different from one another?

by causation or consequence: I will address consequence. People distinguish food by taste and smell, and smell requires the help of the amygdala that is in the deeper part of the brain (primitive function). So eating is correlated back tothe brain as an emotional experience as well! :) There is a bulb in the upper part of the face that is attached to the brain that is wired back to the amygdala, which probably hits other sensory area as well. Both the aromas though the mouth up to the nose and also through the taste buds are linked to the ulfactory bulb--and this IS a brain part, much like a retina is a brain part. So eating and tasting food is a direct brain function. :) Also many of your sensor cells are associated with skin's somasensatory cortex. So whatever you eat, do, or even think is somehow touches off onto the skin, interesting eh? So the skin is the "brain" removed. This is why people have phantom arms when they lose their arms because the brain also associates function by proximation, the closeness of one part of the brain that works the head is right next to the brain part that works (motoro and sensory) the arms. So even though the arms are gone, the compartment next to the arms compartment in the brain is still sending signals because it still works. In this cause, proximation rules over "reality" that the arms are no longer there. We are nothing but walking brains. :) LOL (and this is just the CNS, central nervous system and not the ANS, the autonomic nervous system such as when you touch something hot and your body pulls away from it, which does not use the brain until afterewards, which tells the brain, "Oh, by the way, you just were burnt." Then you start feeling the pain and see the redness and the swellig. :) Or when the doctor hits your knee with the soft hammer--this is invoking the ANS.

What does Laura Chinese name lao la mean in manderin Chinese?

The way that western names are put into Chinese characters is by finding characters that sound like the component syllables (transliteration) . You have to be careful though , as there could be several ways of writing your name sounds in Chinese and many of them could be less than flattering. For example Your name could be written as 老 乳 which is Chinese is pronounced Lao Ru , and is a close proximation to your name. However before you rush off to get it tattooed on your skin you may like to know that it means Old Milk ! Or Old Breast ! This is why it is important to find out exactly what your name means. People tend to choose sounds that are close to their name and reflect their personality. 咾乐 sounds like Lao La and means Happy Sound . That may or may not be suitable to you , or you may simply not like it , Im just giving examples but again watch out for what sounds like your name but may not be flattering 老了 Lao Le , means getting on a bit in age :) less damaging is 老辣 , Lao La it means experienced , or determined. So as you see there are many ways to get the sound of your name , just make sure you find out what it means before you start using it. Do you mean "lau rah"? or "low rah"? You have to put it in Chinese (mandarin or cantonese) before it means anything in that language.

What kind of illegal activities does a black market do in the economic status of Philippines?

"a smuggler's paradise"Explaining about illegal activities occurring in black markets in the Philippines is easy, explaining about the economic status of the Philippines is generally not so easy. Mr. Henry Byroade, former U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines once said "Money is power anywhere in the world but particularly in the Philippines". In spite of the past and present administrations' considerable efforts to curb black markets, they continue to this day unabated. This could be atributable to the close proximation of the Philippines to Hong Kong, long considered to be something of "a smuggler's paradise".Two of the most common black market activities revolve around sex and drugs. Sexual activities are not limited merely to prostitution. Child prostitution, of both sexes, is common. Also, throughout much of Southeast Asia one can readily find astounding transvestite (male)prostitutes. Pedophiles come to Manila, the capitol city, from as far away as Europe, Australia, and the United States. One former American military personnel dubbed the Philippines a "Disneyland for grown-ups".Drug use is quite commonplace throughout the Philippines. Most of the substances which are abused in countries like the United States are not readily available in the Philippines, but rest assured they have plenty of their own narcotic substances available, most popular of which is "shabu".Shortly after World War II, political and economic conditions in the Philippines were ripe for smugglers, particularly to-and-from neighboring countries like Malaysia and Singapore. In a war-ravaged economy, many staple needs were in short supply. Smugglers had a field day. Common items like liquor and cigarettes were profitable commodities for smugglers but even sundry items such as onions and garlic lined the pockets of many smugglers before the police eventually caught up with them, often resulting in bloodshed. If you would like a good broad overview of the black maket situation in the Philippines, I suggest you try to rent the movie "Cavite" at your local library or video store. It will provide you with a very frank and sometimes unsettling picture of what life is really like in "the Pearl of the Orient".

What greek words mean love?

To the Greeks, love was bound to intentionality and a priori in their purpose was finding the good to do in life, and doing it. The idea of "excellence" to the Greek, was more than philosophical, it was fundamentally structured within the ethos of their society.Love, in the Greek mind was not purely the expression of the senses or emotion. Those were seen for what they in fact truly are in nature, a perception of well being that comes from well doing! The Greeks perceived that "love" is more about, what I do than what I feel. Moreover, what I feel is an outcome of what I do. It's not difficult then to understand why the Greek word for love is multifaceted.. To a Greek, the word could be used to relate 3 fundamental ideas of their intentionality :(érōs) A love that relates the idea of physicality, passion and sexuality.(philía) A love that relates the idea of the familial(agápē) A love that is deeply devotional, loyal, and seeks nothing of itselfIt is the highest expression of love for a Greek, a love that is unrelentingit cannot-will not fail even at the expense of his own life. The Greeks lived purposefully, and gave themselves to excellence in whatsoever they put their hands to... It formed their intentionality and governed their every step in live.
