My son has Pyloric spasms, I am trying to look up more information on it but here is what I know so " no answer, that sucks" doesn't appear. Pyloric Spasm is then the Pyloric muscle swells tightening and pushing the stomach in which the infant will vomit, its in between normal and pyloric Stinosis or whatever...and the treatment is try 50 different medicines and when nothing works send em home :) and check up every month to say well lets try this for a month now we'll try this...

My grandson was thought to have pyloric stenosis and went for an ultrasound. They said it wasn't big enough to be stenosis but that it was probably spasms. When I asked about treatment they said there is none and he will outgrow it by 8 months.

What is pre-pyloric?

The bottom of the stomach is the pyloric area, with the pyloric sphincter separating the stomach from the duodenum (first portion of the small intestine). The top of the stomach is the cardiac area with the cardiac sphincter. The pre-pyloric area is the area just above the phyloric sphincter where they do biopsies to test for an H-Pylori infection. The pyloric area consists of two parts the pyloric canal and the pyloric antrum.
