It costs roughly £15 a month, has monthly patches (free) and (so far) has 4 expansion packs:

Basically WoW is a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) that's set in medieval times and the races of players are split in to Horde (evil) and Alliance (good). The races of players are:

Horde

• Orc
• Undead
• Tauren
• Troll
• Blood elf (burning crusade)
• Goblin (cataclysm)

Alliance

• Human
• Night elf
• Dwarf
• Gnome
• Draenei (burning crusade)
• Worgen (cataclysm)

There are player classes too, like e.g. hunter. Both Horde and Alliance have access to all of the classes but certain races do not have access to certain classes. Here are the classes:
